Montclair Elementary Otter Walk 2018 

Montclair Elementary's annual walk-a-thon, the Otter Walk, is the largest family-friendly fundraiser raising over 1/3 of the PTA's annual budget. The raised monies help support PTA fully funded daytime enrichment programs including our library, integrated arts, gardening, yard supervision, scholarships, small group specialists, and so much more!

8:00 a.m. Walkers start checking in on the upper yard of campus (bring permission slip only – no sponsor forms) 

Breakfast pastries, bagels, warm finger food, and coffee are available.

8:30 a.m. Kick-off! Walkers start walking!

10:00 a.m. Hosted Parties sign-ups begin! Face Painting, Dad’s Club Sugar Shack opens! 

10:30 a.m. Live Entertainment Begins

11:00 a.m. Lunch Concession Opens 

Pizza, BBQ, and More!

2:00 p.m. Raffle drawing

4:00 p.m. Otter Walk ends and all walkers stop. Walkers check-out. 



Montclair is a 2010 and 2014 winner of the prestigious California Distinguished School Award and received the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award in 2015.  Montclair provides a well-rounded program that fosters both social and academic growth all while providing a fun, diverse, and enriching environment for over 640 students. MES truly is one of the shining stars of the Oakland Unified School District.

If you would like to make a donation by check, or cash, please make the check out to "Montclair Elementary PTA" and mail your donation to the student in whose name you would like to donate. 

Did you know . . .

  • $50 helps pay for 10 new scholastic school books for our library.

  • $100 pays for a week of gardening instruction and seeds for 75 students!

  • $125 pays for a week of PE instruction with a sports activity specialist for 640 students!

  • $500 pays for a week of Integrated Arts instruction (drama, art and music) for 30 students!

  • $1,000 covers the cost of 3 Chromebooks!
